The Elusive Critical Mass

Chain reaction, result of critical mass being achieved.

I've come up with a name for the project. We are going to call it "Critical Mass" and hope that Homeland Security doesn't come knocking on our door.

Project Critical Mass entails the assisted deployment of web sites for Samoa's Creative Content Creators or CCC. A CCC can be a blogger, painter, carver, online retail entrepreneur, boutique manufacturer, a freelance journalist, or anybody who creatively creates original and interesting content.

critical mass*
noun

1. Physics . the amount of a given fissionable material necessary to sustain a chain reaction at a constant rate.

2. an amount necessary or sufficient to have a significant effect or to achieve a result: a critical mass of popular support.

PagoPages.com will select from the content creators who wish to join the Critical Mass project and give them a platform for publishing, selling, and monetizing their creative energies. Depending on the type of business model or creative model the content creator is signing up for there are different ways that PagoPages.com can subsidize the deployment. The key factor though is that ultimately PagoPages aims to become the technology partner for all of the Critical Mass members. While the members will be focused on their creative products and services, PagoPages will be there to support their efforts by customizing their platforms around each member's vision.

My hope, as the owner of PagoPages and the web designer and programmer, is that the project will reach its critical mass within a couple of years. The project's critical mass goal is defined by the moment when there are enough contributing  CCC's, actual content, and clients and customers that the problem becomes one of managing, directing, and containing the explosive energies of a business idea or model that has taken on a life of its own.

Ultimately the idea is to continue to sign up interested CCC's and deploy platforms for each, assist them in developing their business, and eventually watch them succeed.

If you are an interested Creative Content Creator - an artist looking to make a name or sell artwork, a retail entrepreneur looking to set up an ecommerce web site, or a blogger looking for a new platform - look me up or contact me a jd@pagopages.com. At the moment we are only interested in Samoan or Polynesian themed content. Our focus is on localization of the platforms' channels to enhance the value of the online properties that we are adding to the project.
