Big Game Fishing is the Name of the Game, No Really... It's the I'a Lapo'a!

The I'a Lapo'a is th Big Fish Tournament... Literally, "I'a Lapo'a" means "Big Fish" in Samoan.
The I'a Lapo'a, hosted by the Pago Pago Game Fishing Association (PPGFA) and sponsored by big names like Steinlager, StarKist, and the American Samoa Visitors' Bureau, along with dozens of other private sponsors, this tournament is a top grade fishing tournament. Best of all it follows on the heels of the BIG Western Samoa tournament hosted by SIGFA. That means that you have two chances at the prizes, two weeks of competitive fishing, and get to fish around two different sets of islands with different undersea topography.
Two different ways to win - try your hand at fishing for marlin with a tag and release strategy for points, or target the big fish and try to win by landing the most pounds of qualifying fish. Special prizes for the biggest fish in each category and fun and good times for everybody.
Join us in American Samoa for the 13th Steinlager I'a Lapo'a Game Fishing Tournament. It is an international affair with anglers participating from New Zealand, Korea, Samoa, Australia, and the United States. Over $20,000 USD in prizes is at stake in this tournament of tournaments, and the winner also takes home an invitation to the IGFA World Offshore Tournament in (New Location To Be Announced by IGFA) in 2013.
Stop lollygagging and sign up to cast your line this year and catch yourself hundreds of pounds of fun!
